  • Conception Month 1

    Conception Month 1
    -rooting reflex, sucking reflex, Palmar reflex
    -mood changes, frequent urination, shortness of breath
    -no drinking, no smoking, get enough rest
  • Month 2

    Month 2
    -spurts in legs, spurts in arms, spurts in back
    -fatigue, headaches, light-headedness
    -prenatal vitamin, exercise,write a birth plan
  • Month 3

    Month 3
    -beginning to flex it's muscles, making white blood cells, heartbeat starting
    -constipation,leg cramps, backache and abdominal pain
    -vitamin B6 rich foods, eat lots of carbs, meats-make sure they are properly cooked
  • Month 4

    Month 4
    -sex of the fetus can be determined, roof of mouth is formed, CRL of 3 in
    -heartburn, food cravings, varicose veins
    -dairy products, daily walks, be optimistic
  • Month 5

    Month 5
    -fingers and toes, teeth and bones denser, nails and hair are forming
    -breast changes, increased blood flow, dizzy or faint
    -eat 300 more calories than normal, eat dinner hours before bed, listen to your body
  • Month 6

    Month 6
    -CRL of 7 in, bone marrow starts making blood cells, taste buds begin to form
    -numbness and tingling in hands, urine loss, seperation of abdominal muscles
    -spend more time on personal hygiene, avoid inhaling passive smoke, drink plenty of fluids
  • Month 7

    Month 7
    -brain is starting to function, lungs forming, baby can open eyes
    -may experience more movement of your body, joints may feel more loose, stretch marks
    -keep monitaring weight, talk to caregivers, frequent checkups
  • Month 8

    Month 8
    -gaining pound a week, can blink, pupils dialate
    -gain weight, feel discomfort as baby pushes, skin continues stretching,
    -calm anxiety for baby's health, monitor weight, monitor blood pressure
  • Month 9

    Month 9
    -baby drops to pelvis, head faces down, everything has final stages of change
    -breathe easier, sleep becomes more difficult, weight will gain
    -divide meals into 5-6 instead of 3, drink plenty of fluids, avoid fried foods
