  • Period: 1 CE to 6

    weeks 1-6

    Right now, your body is busy getting ready for when you do get pregnant. Your uterus is thickening so it can house and feed your fertilized egg once it implants. Your baby's tiny heart has started to beat. That heart sits inside a body that's now almost 1/2-inch long from the top of the head to the rump — about as wide as a pencil eraser.
  • Period: 7 to 13

    weeks 7-13

    Your baby is attached to you by an umbilical cord. Through this connection, you'll provide food, and filter away your baby's wastes until you deliver. Your baby is growing quickly now and is getting more proportional – now the head makes up only 1/3 of your baby's body. Helping your baby grow is the placenta, which is serving up a steady supply of nutrients and disposing of wastes.
  • Period: 14 to 20

    weeks 14-20

    Your baby is right around 4 inches long from the top of the head to the bottom and weighs about 4 1/2 ounces He or she is developing fingerprints. Inside you, baby can hear and may respond to sounds. By now, baby measures 6 1/2 inches from the top of the head to the rump and weighs about 11 ounces.
  • Period: 21 to 26

    weeks 21-26

    your baby measures about 17 inches from head to toe and weighs about 3 pounds. Baby is growing plumper and beginning to control its own body temperature. Eyebrows and eyelashes are fully develped.
  • Period: 27 to 30

    weeks 27-30

    The organs still have some maturing to do. That includes the brain, which is quickly making the connections needed to control baby's body. By now baby has settled into a regular schedule, alternating between periods of sleep and wakefulness. your baby measures about 11 inches long. As your baby grows, your belly is growing to match.. You might notice your feet expanding too, as your joints loosen up in preparation for labor.
  • Period: 31 to 36

    weeks 31-36

    Your baby will likely have gained two pounds over the past few weeks. Your baby has probably reached the length it will be born at. Your baby is plumping up and becoing less wrinkled.
  • Period: 37 to 40

    weeks 37-40

    they baby may drop lower in your abdomen, usually assuming the head down posistion to prepare for birth. The brain has been developing rapidly, and your baby is practicing blinking
