Week 8

2 Months
At 2 months, approximately one hald of the fetus is what will ultimately be it's head. Their vital organs – such as kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver – are starting to function. Tiny fingernails and toenails are forming. -
14 Weeks
Your baby's kidneys are producing urine, and he releases it into the amniotic fluid. He can make facial expressions and may have discovered thumb-sucking. The fetus is also able to swallow. In addition, the interconnections between the different parts of the body become more complex and integrated. Arms develop hands, hands develop fingers, fingers develop nails. -
4 Months
By 4 months, a mother can feel the movement of her child. Also kicks, hiccups, turning of the fetus, somersaults, clenching of fists, open andclosing of eyes, and thumb suckings can be alerting to the mother. The fetus weighs an average of 4 ounces. -
19 Weeks
Your baby can hear your heartbeat and sounds that come from outside your body, such as your partner's voice. Your baby might even be startled by a loud noise. The head of the fetus can account for just over one fourth of it's total size, The fetus also substantially increases in weight. -
24 Weeks
The fetus's taste buds are developing. Their brain is growing very quickly, and their hair may be growing, too. It almost a foot long and weighs just over a pound. Hormones are released that lead to the increasing differentiation of male and female fetuses. High levels of androgen are produced for males and estrogen are produced for female. -
7 Months
The fetus has grown cute little fingernails and toenails. They are almost 17 inches long (head to heel) and weighs about 3 3/4 pounds, from where they were at 4 months weighing just 4 ounces. The fetus can hear their mother clearly. -
38-40 Weeks.
By the end of the fetal period, brain waves are produced that indicate the fetus passes through different stages of sleep and wakefulness. Your baby is now considered full-term. Their lungs should work fine if he's born now, but ideally he'll stay in your womb a bit longer.
