  • Skin Cancer Screening

Does not have any of the risk factors, but, like everyone, he should do a self-exam of the skin looking for moles, birthmarks, or other pigmented areas for unusual color, shape, size, or texture. Can be done now or anytime. Should check the skin regularly.
  • PSA Screening

Prostate screening is used to test and detect undiagnosed prostate cancer in men. Levels of PSA will be higher in men who have prostate cancer compared to men who don't. Should have this screening done at age 45. During this procedure, a physician inserts a hollow needle through the wall of the rectum to collect prostate tissue samples, which can be evaluated under a microscope for evidence of cancer.
  • Colonoscopy

During this procedure, the doctor uses a long, thin, flexible, lighted tube to check for polyps or cancer inside the rectum and the entire colon. During the test, the doctor can find and remove most polyps and some cancers. Should start the screening at age 45 and continue to do so until 75.
