The launchof Sputnik by the Soviet Union marked the first unmanned satilite sent into space. As a result the U.S started to pour money into science education. -
Bay of Pigs
The U.S. trained anti-Castro Cuban exiles to invade Cuba and overthrow the goverment. Although U.S. did not give necessary support. As a result they got defeated and it showed that the U.S. would not prevent communism. -

13 days of 1962 was called the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Soviet Union secretly put missiles in Cuba, which is 90 miles away from the U.S.. Eventually the Soviets removed the missiles. -

The assasination occured at a annual parade in Cario. Members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad assasinated Sadat. -
