Berlin Airlift
The Soviet Union cut off all traffic and water to West Berlin. The Berlin Airlift allowed US and Britain to fly food and supplies into West Berlin. In 277,000 flights, one plane landing every 3 minutes, 2.3 million tons of supplies were brought in. -

Cuban Missile Crisis
The Soviets secretly built missile sites in Cuba, which was discovered by a U.S. spy plane. The U.S. saw this as a threat and blockaded Cuba to prevent Soviest from installing more missiles. Soviets agreed to remove missiles if U.S. doesn't invade Cuba. -
Arab-Israeli Conflict 1967
The Six-Day war was fought by Israel and the neighboring states of Egypt and Israel defeated these states. The neighboring states did not want Israel taking their land. -

Sadat's attackers condemned him for the peace treaty he had signed with Israel at Camp David months before his assassination. -
Tiananmen Square Protest
The Tiananmen Square protest was a movement led by students in Beijing and exposed China's issues with political leadership. -
Fall of the Berlin Wall
Hungary allowed vacationing East Germans to travel to Austria, then they traveled to West Germany. Protests broke out because East Germant closed it's borders. The leader of East Germany had to allow people to leave in order to resore peace. -
Collapse of the Soviet Union
100+ ethnic groups were in the Soviet Union, some began to want freedom. 15 republics were declared independence.
