    the prohbation act of 1925 sihgned by calvine coolidge provided a prohbation act for the federal system.it gave the court the option to suspend the inmates sentance and put him on prohbation.

    in this year cogress enacted the speedy trial act . this established the theory that crime would be reduced by realeasing people into the community. it would reduce crime.
