Philosophical Journey

  • Beginning of Journey

    Beginning of Journey
My philosophical journey begins at Brookfield High School, where I am currently.
  • Stopover

    Stopover
Russia is my stopover because it embodies the concept of injustice, lack of equality, and lack of peace. Russian society is riddled with oppression. The denial of basic human rights is commonplace, and many unjust laws, such as criminizing the public actions of the LQGTQ community, are in place. Women are heavily discriminated against. The lack of equality in Russia leads to much unrest.
  • Stopover Lesson

    Stopover Lesson
In Russia, I will learn that if there is no equality or justice, there cannot be peace. If a society lacks peace, the citizens will be unsafe and unhappy. I must move on to the next part of my philosophical journey because Russia does not achieve my personal philosophy.
  • Destination

    Destination
My destination on my philosophical journey is Sweden. Sweden represents my personal philosophy, which is that equality and justice lead to peace. Sweden is incredibly vigilant about human rights. The Swedes make an astounding effort to support people of all genders, sexualities, and economic backgrounds. Children are encouraged to not hold themselves to gender roles. All children recieve equal treatment, and therefore do not grow up with expectations to be a certain way.

In addition, Sweden has made numerous sigificant strides in promoting fairness and equality in the workplace and elsewhere.Equality in Sweden is impressive, and has lead to peace and safety for all citizens. Sweden completely embodies my philosophy, and truly lives up to my beliefs.
