The New Quantum Mechanics
The New Quantum Mechanics
In the September 1925 edition of the preeminent German physics journal, Heisenberg published a paper titled “On a quantum theoretical re-interpretation of kinematical and mechanical relationships”. In this paper, Heisenberg, proposed that to solve the quantum questions that he, and other physicists were working on, only observable quantities should be used. -
Uncertainty Principle
One of Werner Heisenberg's paradigm shifting ideas, that revolutionized the way we see the world, is the uncertainty principle. “The uncertainty principle states that there is a fundamental limit to how precisely one can measure an object's position and momentum at the same time” [2]. see assignment for complete text and references

Noble Prize
Noble Prize
Heisenberg was awarded the Noble Prize in Physics for 1932. The citation that came with the award said, among other things, that the award was credit for “the creation of quantum mechanics”. This caused a bit of awkwardness, and Heisenberg later expressed some regret, that other Physicists like Born, Schrodinger, and Dirac were not included as so-called “creators” of quantum mechanics.
