Peter and his men gets surrounded by Turkish forces while him and his men are marching into Moldavia. Peter was very lucky to get off with losing only Azov. -

After catching wind that the Turks were going to invade Persia, Peter does it before the Turks can. After a year-long fight, Peter secures the western and southern shores of the Caspian in exchange for military aid to Persia.
