My parents have been influlential as leaders. They both served in the Air Force and taught me ways in which to lead my life, work ethic, and well-being.

Mrs. Pinter was my Spanish 3 Teacher at Midpark High School. She showed me leadership in building a strong relationship. She inspired me to become a teacher by modeling how knowledge and relationships can be fulfilling. Having Mrs. Pinter as my teacher shaped the rest of how I would live my life. Her influence and leadership modeling is how I continue to work in the classroom today.

I gained independance by graduating from Midpark High School and became the sole leader in the path of my life.

I started my job as Desk Manager at North Park University. This was my first position where I acted as the leader; I was in charge of a group of people in standards for work. This is where I began to gain leadership through experience (Manning & Curtis, 2012, p. 6).

After graduating from North Park University, I gained employment with my first post-college job at Ombudsman Educational Services in Chicago, Illinois. This served as more experience-managing classrooms, and performing daily job roles- and acted as my first goal achieved from knowlegde mastery.

Bill O'Malley was my direct Supervisor while at Ombudsman for this time. Bill taught me about the systems of leadership and organizations. Bill taught me about the roles and standards of the position and how to serve them.

Started my position at a new center in Chicago. I also started my new role as a fulltime employee of Ombudsman Educational Services.

Kristen acted as my direct Supervisor when at Ombudsman fulltime. She really impacted and modeled ways for me to use classroom management, and put me in sitatuations to learn by experience.

I accepted a job in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with Ombudsman. Ombudsman was opening its first center in Sioux Falls and asked employees to be willing to relocate to help build a foundation for new centers. I acted as a leader in being a resource for the new center, and pioneering a new program within the Sioux Falls District.

I accepted a position as English I/Speech I Facilitator at New Technology High School. This would serve as my first leadership role in managing my own classroom, designing my own assignments, and reporting grades.

My first class in my pursuit of my masters. This would serve as the beginning of learning leadership through books and content knowledge (Manning & Curtis, 2012, p. 6).
