    2000 - 2005: Home Computer

Growing up, we had a desktop computer in our house's den. It was primarily used for word processing and printing, but it still had high-speed internet connectivity. I remember playing a few racing games, and using Google Earth to look around.

    2006: Playstation 2
For my 6th birthday, my parents had gotten me a PlayStation 2. As a kid, I wasn't too much of a homebody, opting to ride my bike and play outside instead of staying cooped up indoors. If it was the middle of summer or if I was feeling particularly lazy that day, I'd boot up my PS2 and play for a little while. However, I still have fond memories of playing the Madagascar video game, as well as the racing game Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2.

    2008 - 2011: Cell Phone

This was the year that I received my first ever cell phone. It had unlimited talk and text minutes, but zero mobile data for internet usage. I only used it to stay in contact with my parents when I was playing outside, or if I was staying over at a friend's house. To be honest, I didn't think too much about having a phone, and most kids my age had them as a means to communicate with their parents as well.

    2012 - Personal Computer
Around the time of 7th grade, I finally was able to buy my own personal computer after saving up for a few years. It arrived in various parts that I bought separately from online, which I then assembled myself. I felt quite accomplished after building my first PC, and it ended up being one of the wisest investments I've ever made, as I still use some of those components to this very day!

My first Smartphone was the Samsung Galaxy S4, which I got as a birthday present going into 8th grade. This was the time when Instagram and Snapchat became popular, with Vine, TikTok's predecessor, leading the social media landscape. I used the music streaming app Spotify to listen to songs, stand-up comedy and podcasts back then.
