kindergarten
This was the day it all started, the first day of kindergarten. Little did I know the big adventures and challenges ahead of me. I was so excited to finally start school, but now it's not the same. I look back at those memories and I was always so excited for the first day of school. But now, I dread the thought of school. School has made a huge impact on my life. It's where I learned a lot that I know, not only for my education, but also that people can be mean and who the "real ones" are. -
garrett
This is the day my little brother was born, Garrett. He has made a huge impact on my life. He didn't talk until he was about 4 and was just late to a lot of things that other kids already have done. Garrett is so important to me because my future career dreams were influenced by him. He went to several different therapies, which was really eye opening. As soon as I saw what his occupational therapist did, I knew what I wanted to do. Now I have dreams to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. -
moving
This is the day we moved into our new house in Arkadelphia. I lived in Bryant for the first 12 years of my life and moving was a big part of my life. Moving from Bryant, a 7A school, to Arkadelphia, a 4A school, is a big difference. I had to adjust to smaller schools and the small town environment. This event in my life has helped and taught me that I am capable of facing big challenges. -
covid
This is the day we got the news we were going to have a "2 week break" from school. We all thought we were just gonna go back to school and live like normal, but we were wrong. Throughout the quarantine I got to spend a lot of time by myself and my family. That time impacts my life by getting to experience the whole pandemic and also finding myself. I love spending time alone with myself, it helps me a lot mentally, so that time really helped with that. Covid is something I will never forget. -
Andrea Brown
This is the day Andrea and Caleb McCollett passed away from a car accident. Andrea is my first cousin and this day was really hard. I woke up to the news that she had passed, then having to go to a cross country meet and band competition. Not only this event brought my family closer together, but it also taught me how I can put on a brave face and still live life when times get hard.
