    I was my parents first child. My mother had me when she was 17. I was born in New York. According to my parents I was born with very pale skin and red hair.
  • 9/11

    When the planes crashed into the twin towers I was at home with my mom while my dad was at work. I was one year old and still living in Queens, New York. Although I didn't see it happen because I was too young my mom told me about it
  • Big Sister

    In the year 2006 my mom gave birth to a baby girl. I was a big sister. That was a weird morning for me. I woke up in my parents bed sleeping next to my aunt who was ready to take me to the hospital to see my new baby sister.
  • Presidency

    The first African American President was elected in 2009. This was a very exciting time for all of America. I was proud to have Obama as our President.
  • First Graduation

    In 2010 I graduated from my elementary school P.S.62. I was finally going to middle school. It was an exciting but also very nerve wracking time for me.
  • Death of a Terrorist

    Death of a Terrorist
    Osama bin Laden was the terrorist responsible for the planes flying into the twin towers. He was killed in Pakistan. All of America was relieved to find out he was killed.
  • Basketball

    When I was in seventh grade my mom signed me up to play basketball even though I didn't want to. I played for a church on a team with mostly all boys. At first I hated my mom for signing me up to be on the team, but later on I loved it, it became a part of me.
  • Re-election

    In 2012 President Barack Obama was reelected to serve his second term as presidency. He ran against Mitt Romney who was the former Governor of Massachusetts. Obama had a large amount of popular votes.

    It was the beginning of my high school freshman year when my parents told my sister and I that they wanted to move to North Carolina. My sister and I had the last word as to whether or not we wanted to leave. Unfortunately, it was 3 against one because my sister wanted to move as well. I had to leave behind my family, friends, and my home that I'd lived in for 11 years behind. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

    President Donald Trump was elected as President in 2017. It was a very upsetting time for my family and I. In our opinion, Trump should have never even been considered to be President.
