Reading with Mom and Dad
Durning this timespan, my parents would read to me every night before I went to bed. This is what kickstarted my enjoyment for reading and listening to stories. -
5th grade Reading
My teacher read outloud everyday and I vividly remember her doing so and enjoying it very much. She read books like Bud Not Buddy and Where the Red Fern Grows. -
Middle School Reading!
This was actually a period in my life where I could not stop reading. I read the same books as my friends and would read book after book. -
7th Grade Language Arts
In seventh grade my class was the first year (and really only year) where we had t he opportunity to choose the books we wanted to read from a list. At the end of reading them, we had really fun projects that we also got to choose from! This experience really progressed my love for reading -
Early High School Reading
In high school I began reading higher level novel, one less likely to be found in the teen section at Barnes and Noble. I also began reading books before watching the movies. I have actually read lots of very interesting novels, including my favorite, In Cold Blood. -
Later High School Reading Drought.
Junior and Senior year required lots of time for schoolwork and we had to read many different books. This made my individual interest fall in a lesser priority over the situational interests of school.
