    I got my cat when I was beginning Kinder and she is like my child. This moment was one of the greatest moments of my life. She is still living to this day (Oct. 20, 2016).

    This is important to me because it is when God washed away all of my sins and entered into my life. Also, it is important to me because my grandfather baptized me.

  • 3rd Grade-Professional

    My third grade teacher is who inspired me to become a teacher.

  • Mimi Passed-Personal

    This is an important time in my life because my Mimi watched me every single day while I was growing up and helped me to talk and to sound letters properly. When she passed, it was a hard time for my whole family and myself. I remember this because she died on Friday the 13th.

  • High School Graduation-Professional

    This time is important to me because it is the first step of the rest of my life...college and getting my degree.

  • Walters State Community College-Professional

    This time frame helped me to decide that I wanted to be a teacher. In high school, I wanted to be a PT, but once I prayed about it more and started taking classes, I realized that teaching is in my blood.

  • Alpha Baptist Christian Learning Center-Professional

    By working at this daycare, I have come to realize that working with children is in God's plans for me; not so much the really young children but all of the school age children. It has helped me see God's plan for me to become a teacher.

    This event is embedded in my memory because he passed away on Valentine's Day one weekend I was out of town. This was a major event for me because I was not there to be with my family.

    My grandparents left their house to me when they passed and it went into my name when I turned 21. It is important to me because it is where I spent all of my time growing up.

    Transferring to Carson-Newman has impacted my decision of teaching very much because of how supporting the professors are and the program itself has helped me learn so much.
