    I was born in Charleston, South Carolina. This date is important because it is the day I was brought into this world.
  • Moved to Tennessee (Personal)

    My father retired from the Air Force so we relocated to Tennessee to be with family. This day is important to me because it allowed me to grow up in this area, which I absolutely love. It also allowed me to be close to my grandparents, whom I absolutely adore.
  • First Day of 4th Grade (Personal)

    Starting public school was a big day for me. Before this, I was homeschooled. I also wanted to go to public school, and my parents finally let me.
  • Teaching Fellow Students (Professional)

    I knew in middle grades that I wanted to be a teacher. My fourth and sixth grade teacher was what you could call a little unmotivated. I have always been good at math, so she would give me her teacher edition and have my teach the students how to do math problems.
  • High School Graduation (Professional)

    I graduated from Pigeon Forge High School on this day with honors and as number three in my class. This day is important because it started my journal into college and was a success for my academic path.
  • Job Promotion (Professional)

    I was promoted to Aquatics Supervisor and Lead Instructor at my job. With this title, I was able to teach students, as well as international students, how to properly perform CPR and other basic first aid skills. I enjoyed this process and used this opportunity to incorporate things I learned in my education classes to my class. In this promotion, I learned how to be part of a team and collaborate together as well.

    I graduated from Walters State Community College with a general education degree. This day is important because it was a success in my academic journey to becoming a teacher.

    This date is special because my now husband proposed to me on this day at a pier called "Kayakers Pier" in Outerbanks, North Carolina.
  • Enrolled into Carson-Newman University (Professional)

    This event is important because it is when I began working on my bachelor's degree for education.
  • Wedding (Personal)

    I married my husband, Alex, on this date after four years of dating. This day is important because it is the day I married the man I will spend the rest of my days with.
