Performance Tasks Timeline
This timespan covers the 2013-2014 school year, which will be our first pilot year of the new Performance Based Assessment tasks. -
Diagnostic 1
Teachers will give Diagnostic 1 as the pre-assessment measure. This assessment can be used to establish baseline data for an SLO, as well as using the data to make data-driven decisions about writing instruction. -
Diagnostic 2
Diagnostic 2 will be the second type of writing performance task, as established by PARCC. It can also be used to establish baseline data for an SLO and to make data-driven decisions regarding writing instruction. -
Summative 1
Summative 1 will match in type to Diagnostic 1. Comparing data between these two assessments will provide a true growth measure, in an "apples to apples" manner. Summative 1 will come at the end of MP 3 and will replace BM 3. This staggering of tasks is aligned with PARCC's model where one summative measure comes at approximately 70% of instruction, and the other comes at 90-95% of instruction. -
Summative 2
