Peloponnesian War
In the Pelopponnesian War was between the Spartans and the Persians the war lasted for a long period of time. In the wake of the Persian retreat, however, Athens grew more powerful and tensions rose, escalating into nearly three decades of war. Sparta emerged victorious, while the constant fighting left Athens bankrupt, exhausted and demoralized. Unification of Italy
The Unification of Italy was a long process to become unified they came to an agreement and finally came together as one country. "If Mazzini was the soul of the unification process, then Garibaldi was the hero. In early 1860, he started to gather volunteers in Genoa for an expedition to Sicily. As Cavour neither opposed nor helped, thousands of soldiers from Romagna, Lombardy, and Venetia set sail for Sicily in May 1860."

The Spanish American War was to prevent Spain and others from invading other countries over seas. Afghanistan War
The United States sent troops to Afghanistan to attack the
Al Qaeda because of what happen in 2001 of a terrorist attack. "The attack was military retaliation for the September 11, 2001 attacks by Al Qaeda on American targets. It was called Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan.
