Music and Dance International Festival of Granada
This festival startes on 1883 with symphonic concerts celebrated in the most emblematics places of the city. It has a big national and international repercussion. At 2015 is celebrated its 64th edition. -
1st Hotel in Sierra Nevada: ¨Hotel Del Duque¨
This hotel was another project of the Duke of San Pedro, being open to the public on March 20th, at 1925, as a branch of the Alhambra Palace Hotel.
Now a days in known as Casa de Espiritualidad Sierra Nevada, a hotel made for spritual accomodation. -
Costa Tropical
Located at the southern of the province of Granada and with access to the Mediterranean Sea.
It counts with five points of tourist demand such as: Almuñécar (La Herradura), Salobreña, Motril, Castell de Ferro and La Rábita. Highlights all of them of excellent tourist infrastructures. -
Sacromonte Caves
The caves are the usual houses of Sacromonte; its origin is not very clear, it had built in the 16th century, when Muslim and Jewish population was expelled from their homes.
Between 1960 and 1969 the people began to rebuild these caves and it became popular and visited by tourists.
Flamenco schools have been built in these caves. -

The hotel chain MA was founded in 1963 in Granada.
The hotel Nazaries belongs to this chain. It opened on August 2005, it boasts 253 luxury rooms, including 4 panoramic suites and 5 junior suites. It also has one of the most sophisticated Spas in the city. -
Cetursa Sierra Nevada S.A.
In 1964 was born centers tourist S.A. (CETURSA), which becomes the management of the ski company, thus initiating the tourist development of Sierra Nevada. -
"Orce"
Orce is a small region that is becoming very popular with the caves.
In Orce are the most important paleontological sites in Europe and Asia.
In this region stand out the fortress of seven towers of the century XI, declared a National Monument in 1973. -

Former it was a factory of sugar, which closed and the citizens of Armilla did of this one an enclosure of temporary exhibitions. Companies of different sites use it to expose his products. -
The Alhambra is added to the World Heritage List
At the UNESCO convention, in Buenos Aires (Argentina), the World Heritage Commitee proceeded to officialy include the Alhambra and the Generalife of Granada on the World Heritage List. This compromises Spain to carfully preserve and protect the Alhambra and the surrounding area. -
"Parque de las Ciencias" construction
The Ciences Park was inaugurated; the construction was managed by the architect Carlos Ferrer.
It is the first interactive museum of cience of Andalucía.
The total number of visitors in 2014 is 612.042, 10% more than 2013.
7 out of 10 visitors are not from Granada, where Malaga and Seville are the andalusian cities with more visits, and out of the region, Murcia and Madrid. The foreign visitors (almost 7% of the total) usually come from France, UK and Italy. -

Bill and Hillary Clinton at "la Alhambra" The president of US and his wife, Bill and Hillary Clinton, visit Granada to see the sunset at "la Alhambra". He felt in love with this sight when he went for the first time whe he was student, and he wanted to show it to his wife. -
"Fiesta del Cascamorras"

The Cascamorras is a Spanish holiday of "Tourist International Interest " that is celebrated every year in the cities of Baza and Guadix, in the center - north of the province of Granada. From 2006 it was declared as " Holiday of Tourist National Interest ".
In the midnight from September 5 to September 6 the cascamorras is dismissed from Guadix by the mission to get hold the Virgin of the Piety of Baza. -

Fiesta de la Primavera 2012The "Fiesta de la Primavera" is a party made from about 2006, to celebrate de beggining of the spring time to basicaly drink alcohol and have some fun. It takes place in an open space very close to the centre Granada, It concentrates thousands of students, in the edition of 2012 was the most visited, with around 20.000 people, not only from Granada, but also coming from other cities of the country. -
"Alhambra Sound" festival first edition
Alhambra Sound Festival
It's an Indie music festival made to celebrate the end of uni exams.It took place at "Plaza de Toros" in Granada, and it lasted for more than 10 hours. There were 3000 assistants.
Now a days it's still celebrated every September named as "Granada Sound". Every year the number of assistants are increasing, being in the last edition 25000. -
Tourist Office of Granada
In 2014 the visit to tourist offices increased for queries of the tourists.
