Invented by Sir Timothy Berners-Lee in 1989. The browser was released publicly in 1991, and expanded the world's boundaries. Suddenly, people could research online, communicate, and grow. The world just got that much bigger. -

Invented by Linus Torevelds in April 1991. With the help of other users, he built a free to access operating system. Linux 0.95 was capable of running Windows X, and could expand from there. In 1995 Linux was making inroads in major corporations, and was incredibly flexible - you could run it as small or as large as needed. -
Windows 95 is relseased
Windows 95 was a big step in consumer operating systems. This generation featured a start button, task bar, notification area, and simplified plug-and-play features. -
DVD's are available in the US
With higher storage capacity and the same dimensions as compact disks, who wouldn't like the DVD? With better capacity, slowly DVD and DVD player prices decrease while visual media evolves. -
First portable MP3 Player is relased
Starting with the MpMan, the music industry takes leaps and bounds with the evolution and production of MP3 players. The MP3 is more portable and has higher capacity compared to its counterparts.
