  • Identify ISP

    Started calling all available ISPs to see if they serviced the area and to identify terms. Learned neighbor, IS-cool, was not willing to share thier 100M service. Learned there was no provisioned phone line for the space, but IS-cool would provide copper.

  • ISP Selected

    OVH selected as ISP based on price, available bandwidth, and time to install. IS-cool investigates if they can find bandiwdth to share. Order cannot be placed until POTS is available

  • Identify Copper Pairs

    France Telecom (FT) claims copper is on Floor 2. IS-cool cannot confirm.

  • Request Phone Line

    The space is IS-cool's so they need to order the phone line.

  • Phone Line Order Confirmed

    IS-cool confirms they ordered the phone line.

  • Install Update Inquiry

    IS-cool says a tech will arrive May 5

  • IT Update

    Tristan asks about IT setup and is told it will be about 3 weeks for everything to be installed (firewalls, switches, admin hosts)

  • Phone Line Status

    Checked in about phone line install. Got conditional approval to borrow bandiwdth from neighbor.

    Is-cool discovers there is no copper. They decided to run copper from their floor rather than home running new cable because of costs. This method required boring hole between walls.

    Email from In-cool says the configuration they have for sharing the connection with us is causing instability.

    It is unclear if the DSL order was compelted because Arzhel sent paperwork to get direct debit established which was resolved same say.
