UPPER PALEOLITHIC
The first spiritual and artistic expressions appeared. They made stone figures representing Venus, the goddless of fertility. -

COPPER AGE
Copper tools and weapons were very fragile. -
3000 BCE
BRONZE AGE
Bronze, an alloy of cooper and tin, was more resistant. They used it to make farming tools and sophisticated weapons. -
1000 BCE
IRON AGE
Iron was more abundant and resistant tan the previous metals. -
200 BCE
LOWER PALEOLITHIC
This was the longest of the three periods. The hominids learnt to carve stone. These tools are called bifaces. -
45 BCE
MIDDLE PALEOLITHIC
They perfected tool-making and used smaler stone chips for carving. They began using other materials, like bone, and created new utensiles: knives, arrowheads, harpoons for fishing, and sewing needles.
