This painting above seems to have been created during the byzantine era. The reason to this is because the painting has a christianity symbol and also a religious meaning behind it. Also, the medium of the painting seems to be painted by water colors as the colors seem darker. Lastly, the byzantine era did not focus on detail to the background of a painting.
The painting grabbed my attention because the way they painted the faces were interesting. The expression of devotion also was interesting. -

This painting seems to be during the renaissance period. During the renaissance period, paintings were highly detailed which is why the Mona Lisa is a good example. Also, how the character is colored and shaped is not exaggarated. Oil paint was used to make the paint seem more in-depth and interesting.
This painting grabbed my attention because of how accurate he made her smile look. Also, I enjoy how the posture ended up being for the painting. -
