when the story started
On the first day, which is May 13th Pony boy went to the movie by himself. After the movie on the way he back home he thought about those people who are related to Pony boy. Also he shouldn't be alone all the time that other groups may hurt him like they hurt Johnny. -
Pony boy was jumped by a group of Socs
Ponyboy jumped by some Socs who threatened Ponyboy they would cut his hair, and he felt really afraid. Fortunately, his friends and family saw him, and went to help him. Finally, they had made the Socs escaped.(It indicates the big gap between Socs and greasers, and it also helps us to get what Socs and greasers looked like, and what socs liked to do to greasers. This event also emphasizes what character those greasers were.) -
Greasers went movie in illegally
In the Dingo (drive-in), Dally dallied with Cherry and Marcia. When Dally dallied with those two girls, Johnny stopped him. When Dally threw the coca cola to Cherry and Marcia, Cherry refused, but Marcia accepted. That indicated the difference between Cherry and Marcia. Cherry told Pony boy that he was a good person even thought he was a greaser, and so did Soda. They also discussed the difference between the Socs and the greasers. -
Jhonny stopped Dally from chatting with two Soc girls
The meet with Cherry makes a preliminary for the following that author wrote that they met Bob and fought with Bob. Also inthis plot the discription of each character's personality became more vivid than in the first chapter. -
Greasers went movie illegally
The second day,in the evening they went home after they assault with those two beautiful girls. Cherry and Marcia thought Greasers admire violent when two-bit Matthew mentioned the problem between Tim and Dallas. -
Girls and Greasers talked about their own opinions of each group
On the way back home those two eastern girls chated with Ponyboy and Two-Bit. Girls had believed the Cherry thought Greasers had a different emotion with Socs that Socs would be more sophisticated-cool, even it is useless to talk about parties they prefer to done that. On the contrary, Pony boy hold the opinion that is emotion is an important part among Greasers' life because of the stereotype between rich and poor. Two bit Matthew hold the consideration that Johnny had carried a switch-blade in his back pocket then no one should be afraid of Socs. Even they got a fight Greasers would won. When they met Socs that leaded by Bob and Randy. Johnny was scared to death, he was so nervous about met these group of people who had bitten Jonny to death.(Jonny was considered an important character since everyone in the group treat him as the group pet. When pony boy and Johnny arrived their house, they wanted to stayed in the vacant lot and has another smoke. Because Pony fell asleep they went home late, Darry was worried about their safety also was angered by their CUXINDE. Darry even beat Pony, Pony run out of their house with anger and fear. Johnny followed him. -
Johnny killed Bob， and then they ran away
When pony boy and Johnny arrived their house, they wanted to stay in the vacant lot and have another smoke. Because Pony fell asleep they went home late, Darry was worried about their safety also was angered by their careless. Darry even beat Pony, Pony run out of their house with anger and fear. Johnny followed him. Only Ponyboy and Johnny went to the park without any protection method. -
Johnny killed Bob
Accidentally, Bob was there also his group members, they were looking for a fight with Greasers since they picking up their girlfriends. The way they punished Ponyboy was put his head into the fountain passively. Johnny killed Bob when he thought Socs may murdered Pony but Johnny didn't mean to do that. With fear they ran away and looked for help of Dally.（This plot is like like a little climax throughout the book. This murder accident is a cause of the Rumble also a warning to the publics.) -

Johnny and Ponyboy got their hair cut in the church
Johnny went outside to buy " gone with the wind", and something that can change their hair. They got their haircut to make sure that no one could spot them. They recalled their former life with their friends and family, and they also missed home, but they knew they could not go back because they killed Bob. They thought nothing gold can stay forever. -
Johnny and Ponyboy got their hair cut in the church
Hair is considered the sample of greasers, and they never got haircut since they were young. The most major reason that People recognized greasers is their hair. so they changed color of their hair in order to confused publicans. -
Johnny wanted to go back and turn himself in, but Dally disagreed with him
He wanted to turn himself in because he thought hiding was not fair to Pony, and he also thought no one cared about him, especially his family; however, Dally disagreed with him, and got really disappointed and mad since he knew prison could change one person from kind to cool and mean. Dally didn’t want Johnny to change to cool since Johnny just liked himself before going to prison, and he wanted to protect him. -
The church was on fire, and Pony and Johnny went in to save children.
When they back to the church, they found it was on fire, and the teachers said they lost several students, so Johnny an Pony went in to the church to save those children without any thinking. They saved all the children, but they got hurt badly, especially Johnny. The teachers send them to the hospital. -
Dally went to find Johnny and Pony boy
Dally brought a letter from Sodapop to Pony boy. After Pony boy ran out of his family, Darry really worried about Pony, and Soda told Pony they missed them very much. Dally told them there will be a big fight between the Socs and the greasers, and they got Cherry as a spy.(Dally went to see them, and took messages for them. Because of Dally and the message, they missed home so much. That Dally went to see them illustrates the strong friendship.) -
Greasers were sent to the hospital because of their injury
On the way to hospital, before Pony told the teacher they were greasers, the teacher thought they were heroes. In the hospital, Darry and Soda went to see them, and Darry cried. At that time, Pony boy knew that Darry really cared about him Pony boy also got how important they were through this event. -

This event tells us that judging people cannot only by learning about the group they are. We need to learn the personality and character of those people. Darry and Pony also improve their relationship by that Pony ran out of home. -
Everyone worried about Johnny so much since the doctor didn't let thme visit him
The newspaper had reported a news about Greasers with the title:JUVENILE DELINQUENTS TURNS HEROES. when they were at the hospital they were told Johnny couldn't restored to health forever. This made Greasers a terrible strike on their heart. -
Two-Bit Mathew and Pony went to the hospital to see Johnny and Dally
The doctor told them Johnny hurt seriously, and may died, and they tried their best to comfort Johnny. Johnny’s mom wanted to see him, but Johnny refused stoutly. Two-Bit Mathew and Pony really didn’t want to lose Johnny. They went to see Dally, and they told Dally the situation they were in, Johnny’s circumstance, and they would have a big fight.(This event emphasizes the importance Johnny had to Greasers, and they couldn't lose Johnny. The reason that they would fight and wanted win is Johnny) -
The conversation between Cherry and Pony
After Two-Bit Mathew and Pony left the hospital, Two-Bit found that Pony got a bad fever, and then they met Cherry. Cherry, a spy, told some information of the socs to them. Cherry explained that the reason that Randy would not go to fight was he thought fight couldn’t help anything. Cherry also explained why she would not go to see Johnny. (This plot has a correspongding with former plots.) -
Greasers went to fight with socs
Even thought everyone was nervous, everyone tried their best to be in prime condition for a rumble. Before the fight, Pony thought they shouldn’t fight since they were not miscreants. The fight began by Paul who is the friend of Darry and Darry. Finally, greasers won the fight even though everyone hurt seriously.(This is the biggest fight between greasers and socs in this book, and it is also the climax of the book. They went to fight for Johnny) -
Johnny dead
Dally and Pony went to the hospital to see Johnny, and the doctor told them Johnny was dying. The doctor let them in because they were Johnny’s friends, but not because of the knife. They told Johnny they won the fight, but Johnny said fight was useless. Before Johnny dead, he told Pony to stay gold. Johnny was dead because of his illness also the weakness inside himself. -
Dally committed a suicide in a strange way
Pony boy went back home and told this news to every Greaser. Dally couldn't afford this then he dead in a strange way. （From my point of view, the reason why Dally who is always a tough person is because Dally thought he lost his favorite pet-Johnny forever, which means he was no use to this society.） -
Randy had a conversation with Ponyboy
Before the fight between two groups Randy had a conversation with Pony boy with Randy's personal idea of the situation he was in. Randy thought he was so tired and stressful of the current place, this make Ponyboy realized that everyone is the same even Socs have a warm inside no as cool as Cherry described. Even there would be more people die in this Ramble.(This staff contributed to the main idea that any social groups shouldn't have conflict. It may cause may bad influence to both sides.) -

Pony boy fell down in a faint for 3 days
Because Pony's fever also sadness he fell form Saturday night till Tuesday. Pony thought he wouldn't calling the name of Darry,besides, he felt sorry for the mistaken idea he had of Darry. Soda Pop and Dartrydidn't sleep for any minutes during that period of time. -

Ponyboy stayed in bed for 1week.He saw Bob's photo on a year-book. Ponyboy imaged if Bob were still alive how Bob's life would be. He went to the court and the judge announced his innocence. Made Cherry as a witness. The witness's testimony was very useful for the offender. (This staff helped Pony boy also made a deeply contributed to the idea that peaceful life is always the best way to stay in this world.) -

Ponyboy wrote the essay
Chapter12Ponyboy came over those problems and wrote his own story to the public.(The idea Ponyboy made this story is because he doesn't want to those groups in this world fight. Be peaceful is the only way to make people stay alive longer in the world.)
