The United States largest nuclear weapon test. It was tested at the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands and was way larger than expected. Radioactive from the test spread over 11,000 square kilometer. The explosion reached a yield of 15 megatons, making it 1,000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb. -
Exxon Valdez Oil Spill
An oil spill that occured in Prince William Sound, Alaska. The ship was carrying 55 milllion US of oil and was going to Long Beach, California. Its known as one of the most human causing enviromental disasters. It was caused by multiple reasons, but one was the manuever vessel not being on properly.
