Moves to Krakow
Schindler moved to Krakow from Svitavy in October 1939, following the German invasion of Poland -
Opens Emalia
Opens an enamelware manufactuer factory, Emalia, to employ Jewish workers in the nearyby ghetto. -
Jews are saved
Persuades the SS to make Emalia a sub-camp of Plaszow concentration camp, saving the Jews from the concentration camp. -
Schindler's List is created
In October 1944, Schindler relocated his plant to Brnenec in Moravia. There was a list of up to 1,200 Jewish prisoners needed to work in the new factory. -
Leaves Camp
Schindler leaves his camp after Soviet troops liberate it. -
Death
In October 1974 Shindler dies peniless and almost unknown.
