    Titanic Found

In 1985, the titanic is discovered under the water almost 13,000 feet down, after sinking. Robert Ballard Led this research team to find this famous shipwreck.
  • Age of electronics

In 1947, as the time went out there was more navigations that was aslo known as the Shoran that was going to end up replacing another old radio acoustics. ( navigations).
  • EPI Navigation System

  • Great Tools

In 1960s, there was a creation of great tools during the time of the exploration it was built Scripps Institution while there was a seafloor below it. (navigation.)
  • Deep Tow System Development

    Deep Tow System Development
In 1961, the scripps institute of oceanography develops the Deep Tow System. This is a system in the ocean that uses technology and cameras to work many feet down to further discoveries. This was the first system in the ocean running without a crew or staff.
  • Alvin

In 1964, there was this big vehicle that was launched into the ocean from researchers had discovered how they would move and collect information. (scientific research).
  • Hydrothermal Vent Discovery

In 1977, hydrothermal vents are discovered in the ocean, in addition to species that can survive without the sun. Robert Ballard led the team to discovering this, and these organisms take in chemical energy through a process called chemosynthesis.
  • Seafloor Maps

    Seafloor Maps
In 1995, there was some data that came in from the U.S navy that was discussing the entire seafloor map and how much space that was discovered with satellite over worldwide discoveries.(scientific research )
  • Solo Dive

In 2012, James Cameron successfully goes to the deepest point in the ocean in the mariana trench in the deepsea challenge. The deepsea challenge is a challenge with James Cameron, National Geographic, and Rolex. Since 1960, this is the first time someone traveled that deep in the sea, and the first time done solo.
