Typewriter
Typewriters are used to print out papers with types out words and messages.
We don't use typewriters anymore because they were substituted with printers that have wireless connection to any computer -
Landline phones
Landline phones were used to communicate.
We no longer use landline phones because we have portable phones that we use to communicate instead. -
Cassette players
Cassette players are sound recording devices that record any sound and can play it back.
We don't use cassette players anymore and I believe this is because of our phones having apps for any music you want to hear. -
Floppy disks
Floppy disks are disks which store information from your computer.
Floppy disks are no longer popular to use because USB drives were invented are are much more popular now. -
Phone book
Phone books were used to keep all number names and addresses.
There is no purpose for phone books now because we have all the information we would have in a phone book stored in our phones. -
Boomboxes
Boomboxes were used to play music in the streets.
We no longer see boomboxes because we have more compact ways to play music such as our phones and bluetooth speakers. -
Pagers
Pagers were used to receive voice or alphanumeric messages.
We now use our phones for any use of a pager. -
Overhead projectors
Overhead projectors were used to create and present presentations.
We now have smaller projectors that can connect to our computers and phones. -
Fax machine
A fax machine allows you to revive and sent documents electronically.
We no longer use fax machines because they were replaced with emails, on computers or phones. -
Ipod
Ipods are portable devices with many uses.
Ipods are no longer something we use now that we have upgraded iphones.
