Over time platforms like Netflix, Prime TV, Hulu and even YouTube have slowly been replacing the traditional TV services. • IPhone 5

In September of 2012 the IPhone 5 released making the previous IPhones obsolete in a few different ways.

    2. The charger port was different meaning within the next few years the old apple charger will be gone, effectively putting a time limit on the relevance of the old IPhones.
  • Today

Nearly everything I have mentioned in the timeline is now completely obsolete (Like the Floppy disc) or will make something obsolete soon (Online Streaming.) Each new invention improved on the last to create a better experience for consumers and they will leave the old ones in the past like home video market. From VHS, to CD, to DVD,to Bluray to Online video. Even an IPhone 5 which had it's support end at IOS11. Nothing can last forever and all these items show how quick things can come and go.
