Letter Grades
Letter Grades are replaced with codes (MS, DNM=Meets Standard/Does not meet standards). Student codes are linked to student evidence of standard in a digital portfolio/LMS. -
21st Century Classrooms
Traditional Classrooms are replaced with 21st centurt workspaces with 1-1 computers, students tables, lab tables and teacher facilitator stations in the center of the classroom. -
Wellness/ Mindfulness and DBT for teens added to curriculum
DBT identifies the wise mind vs. the emotional mind. This course is added to middle school to help support students during this critical time. Rather than direct all students to the counselor, students are given skills to help themselves with DBT. -
Scheduled Classes / Grouping similar age together
STudents no longer follow a traditional 8-3 schedule, but select their schedule based on face-to face course times. The other half of the students' schedule will be a blended learning model with a selected STRAND or a PBL Question to investigate for the YEAR STudents may select a science/engineering/math strand or a Language/Communications strand -
