    The Tariffs of 1828
    The tariffs of 1828 were a law that was imposed on imported goods to protect domestic industries, by raising costs of living. This law threatened the start of the civil war. This law was supported by the north because it helped manufactures but it hurt southern farmers because of the struggle when it came to the English being able to afford cotton, meaning farmers weren't making money.

    The idea of a democracy party was built by Martin Van Buren. Before the actual built of the democratic party many people were republican but then the number of democrats increased causing a need for a democracy, giving more citizens an actual choice of who they want in office.
  • Gag rule

    The gag rule consisted of a list of rules that said that you couldn't discuss or debate anti-slavery petitions. Women would often join together and protest and flood the capital for an end of slavery. Women protested for an end to slavery because they had such a responsibility when it came to respecting elders and men and people they didn't know, they wanted to be free from that.

    The only purpose of the Royal Netherlands East Indies army (KNIL) was to assist colonial police services and national security. Dutch east indies were also used to capture Portugues ships and take over and dismantle their trading routes. After a while there was a lack in Dutch east indies because they were all taken over by Japan expect one in the southern parts of the Netherlands.

    The Indian removal act was an act that removed Indians from southern states especially Georgia because Indians damaged the amount of money they received and the amount of farming that was done. Indians were attempted to be whitewashed and converted into Christianity. People still wanted the Indians out, to search their lands for gold. Jackson bought land in Louisiana for the Indians because he respected them.

    Separation of Ecuador and Venezuela
    Ecuador and Venezuela weren't always separated but then they got into political differences when it came to federalism and centralism causing them to break up. Venezuela had already broken away from Colombia in 1829 because of the lack of the country's stability when it came to them being held together.
  • Black Hawk War

    Black Hawk War
    The Black Hawk War was a war between Americans and Native Americans. This all started when Americans told the Sauk's and the Foxes that they had no rights to any of the land in Illinois. This battle was a hope for Black Hawk to win back some of northern Illinois and forge a military alliance with most tribes. The black hawk ended up not winning and the territory was the United States.

    Jackson wanted an end to deposits of government money that was in banks, this changed the way the United States banking system was by using only cheap credit this began to spread westward, but the nation became vulnerable to periodic panics.
