    Cori Romero was shot in the neck while driving on I-25 near Harmoney Road in Larimer County. She called 911 herself.
  • John Jacoby shot

    John Jacoby shot
    John Jacoby was shot while riding his bike on Weld County Road in Windsor. A passing driver found Jacoby. He did not survive. Police have linked his shooting to Romero's.

    Multiple agencies come together to form a task force in order to investigate these shootings. It's made of members from the FBI, Colorado Bureau of Investigation and several police forces.

    William Connole shot
    William Connole was killed while standing on a sidewalk near East 1st Street and North St. Louis Avenue in Loveland, near where the motorcyclist was shot at. Police have linked shootings 3 & 4.

    A person on a motorcycle was shot near Denver Avenue and East 18th Street in Loveland. The person reported being chased by a truck. This person wasn't hurt.

    The task force charged with investigating the shootings announces the reward has increased to $50,000 for viable information.

    Police release a description for a vehicle of interest in Connole's death. It's a Chevrolet or GMC truck with a model year between '73 and '79. Police say on April 26, 2013, that this truck may be a model year between '73 and '80.

    Shootings at 2 buildings
    Police say shots were fired at Cottonwood Plains Elementary but no one was in the building. About 30 minutes later, police say someone fired multiple rouds at Banner Health Center in Fort Collins. The bullets were fired at windows and people could be seen inside. No one was hurt. Evidence connects these shootings, police say. Surveillance video shows the shooter drove a red Mini Cooper.

    The task force announces more than 5,100 tips have come in from the public and more than 340,000 phone numbers have been processed. More than 1,000 interviews have been conducted and 12 persons of interest were investigated and cleared. The task force also released two surveiilance video clips, one showing the Mini Cooper and the other of the truck.
