    Console History

  • The NES

    The NES
In October of 1985, the Nintendo Entertainment System, or NES console was released. This console revolutionized the gaming industry. The NES gained $500 million, giving each employee 1.5 million a piece.
  • The SNES

    The SNES
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System was released in 1990. It had better graphics than the NES did. 47.1 million units were sold worldwide.
  • Nintendo 64

    Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 was released in 1996 with 3D graphics way better than the NES and the SNES combined! The controllers were hard to use because they had 3 handles, and the in-game cameras were terrible, but what do you expect?
  • Gamecube

    Gamecube
The GCN was released in 2001. 3D graphics were enhanced and controllers have changed tremendously since the NES console. This console is more simple than the N64, and the controller was smaller and less complicated...sort of.
  • The Wii

    The Wii
The most unbelievable enhancement in videogame history. The Wii being released in November of 2006, had a controller that could be used as a mouse on your TV! You could also get a Wifi connection connected to your wii and play with people all around the world! AMAZING NINTENDO! And once again, better graphics and camera angles (since the previous were terrible compared to the Wii).
  • The Wii U

    The Wii U
All this is is a better version of the Wii with tweaked graphics and better games. Nintendo added a Wii U Gamepad. Thats it.
