Gold Medal
In 1908, while he was a student, he was awarded a gold medal by Academy of Sciences in Copenhagen for having a solution for a scientific problem by investigating the surface tension by means of oscillating fluid. -
Radioactive phenomena
Carried out a theoretical work on the absorption of alpha rays, he passed on to a study of the structure of the atoms on the basis of Rutherford's discovery of atomic nucleus. -
Career
In 1916, Niels Bohr, was appointed Professor of Theoretical Physics at Copenhagen University. And in 1920 he was the head of the Institute for Theoretical Physics. -
Nobel Prize
