    WPA videoThe head of WPA was Harry Hopkins, and the goal of this program was to create as many jobs as possible as quickly as possible. In a total of eight years, it spent $11 billion to give jobs to more than eight million workers. Most of these workers were also unskilled. They made many of buildings, and also the professionals who were hired wrote guides to cities, collected historical slave narratives, and painted murals on walls. This program had many achievements.

It also had an alternative for graduates unable to find jobs, or youth who had dropped out of school. Their options were also part-time jobs such as working on highways, parks, and the grounds of public buildings.
