  • Agriculture Adjustment Administration

    Agriculture Adjustment Administration
    Tihs administration was a United States federal law of the New Deal era. The AAA helped to aid farmers and regulate crop production. It reduced agriculture production by paying them subsidies to only plant on part of their land and kill off the excess livestock. The AAA was taken over by a different administration in 1945.
  • Home Owners Loan Corporation (HOLC)

    Home Owners Loan Corporation (HOLC)
    One of FDR's New Deal programs was the Home Loan Cooperation (HOLC).It was made to refinance home mortgages to prevent forclosure. It loaned money to homeowners who were facing forecosure. The HOLC came to an end in 1951.
  • Emergency Banking Relief Act

    Emergency Banking Relief Act
    The Emergency Banking Relief Act put in place Under the New deal to save the banking system. This act gave the President more power than usual. It made a four day shut down of banks throughout the U.S. The act was ended in 1945.
  • Tennessee Valley Authority

    Tennessee Valley Authority
    The TVA is a federally owned corporation that is still here today. They help to provide navigation, flood control, electricity generation, and other things in this area during the great depression. It used electricity to rapidly modernize the economy and society.
  • Public Works Administration

    Public Works Administration
    The Public Works Administration was part of the National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA). It provided money to states to create jobs mostly in the construction of schools and other several community buildings. It recieved $3.3 billion from Congress for public works projects.This administration failed to make a decent dent in unemployment. It ended in March of 1939.
  • Federal Housing Administration (FHA)

    Federal Housing Administration (FHA)
    The FHA insured loans for building and reparing homes. It sets standards for housing. This organizations goal is to improve housing standards and conditions and to stabalize the mortgage market. Since 1934, this FHA has insured over 34 million single family home mortgages. This organization is still around today and they currently have 4.8 million insured single family mortgages.
  • Social Security Administration

    Social Security Administration
    The SSA provided pension for retired workers and their spouses and aided people with disabilities. This program administers Social Security, a program consisting on retirement, disability, and survivor's benefits. The benefits you recieve are based upon your wage earning and how much is contributed to Social Security Taxes. This administration is still here today.
  • National Youth Administration

    National Youth Administration
    This administration provided job training for unemployed young people in America. It also provided part-time jobs for needy students. The NYA employed more than two million college and high school students around America. For graduates who had dropped out of school, the NYA provided jobs likes working on highways, parks, and the grounds of public buildings. It ended in 1939.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act

    Fair Labor Standards Act
    The Fair Labor Standards Act created a minimum wage per hour and a maximum of 40 hours a week for the workweek. They guaranteed "time-and-a-half" for over time, and prohibited "oppressive child labor". This organization is still here today and wade the current minimum wage $7.25.
  • Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDC)

    Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDC)
    This act is to manage the safety of food, drugs, and cosmetics. It prohibits the movement of misbranded food, drugs, cosmetics,and many other purposes. The FDC is still present today.
