    Emergency Banking Relief Act (EBRA)
    It was originally named the emergency banking act but added relief. This was a bill that was passed to financially adverse conditions of the great depression. This bill no longer exist today but in 1933 it was added other parts to it to make it better.
  • Civilian Conservation Corps

    Civilian Conservation Corps
    The ECW act established the CCC on March 31st. On April 5th, 1933 established the Civilian Conservation Corps. The purpose of this program is a public work relief program that operated from 1933 to 1942 in the United States for unemployment. It help the unemployment during this because it put a thousand Americans to work during the great depression. This act ended in 1942
  • Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA)

    Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA)
    This was a farm-relief bill and it was embodying the schemes of the major national farm organization. This act helped the farmers supply crops that they couldn’t afford. Also it was to help farmers make payments on their land but had to give some up. It remained the basis for all farm programs in the following 70 years of the 20th Century.
  • Public Work Administration (PWA)

    Public Work Administration (PWA)
    The National Industrial Recovery act created the PWA act on June 16th, 1933. This act was made to budget several billion dollars to be spent on the construction of public works as a means of providing employment, stabilizing purchasing power, improving public welfare. It helped in the great depression because it created more jobs and improved the nation’s infrastructure. This act was shut down in 1944
  • National Recovery Administration (NRA)

    National Recovery Administration (NRA)
    It used to be the National Industrial Recovery Act but they removed industrial. The purpose of this program was it authorized the president to institute industry-wide codes intended to eliminate unfair trade practices, reduce unemployment, establish minimum wages and maximum hours, and guarantee the right of labor. It was to stimulate business recovery through fair-practice codes during the great depression. It ended when the Supreme Court ruled it invalid in 1935
  • Federal Housing Administration (FHA)

    Federal Housing Administration (FHA)
    This act help people to afford to build a home. The people had to take out a loan for underwriting and insurance loans. The purpose of this act was to help people who couldn’t afford a home or insurance got to get it paid off. In 1965 it became part of the Department of housing and urban devolvement (HUD).
  • National Labor Relations Board (Wagner Act)

    National Labor Relations Board (Wagner Act)
    this act recognized for the first time the right of workers to organize and bargain collectively with their employers. roosevelt initially opposed the legislation out of fear that labor organizing might interfere with economic recovery, but gave his support when passage became inevitable.it did help prevent future economic crises by creating a social safety net that kept Americans from falling into dire poverty due to old age or unemployment. the supreme court deemed it unconstitutional
  • Social Security Administration

    Social Security Administration
    It started out as the Social security board (SSB). But then it was an entirely new entity with no staff no facilities. This Act provided for unemployment insurance. It gave the unemployed the disability another chance and it help pay for things for them that they couldn’t pay off. this act is still used today and at 2011 it gave back $712 billion to vets without social security
