    Civillian Conservation Corps
    Operated from 1933-1942. It was a work relief program presented under the New Deal. Its main purpose was to provide men, from ages 17-28, with jobs.
  • Emergency Banking Relief Act

    Emergency Banking Relief Act
    This act was passed by the U.S Congress to try and stabilize the banking system. The act was repealed in 1999, however, many of the ideas in the draft from 1933 are still used today.
  • Federal Emergency Relief Administration

    Federal Emergency Relief Administration
    The ERA was first created by President Hoover in 1932. It was renamed to the FERA after the Roosevelt administration took over. The program gave loans to states for relief programs. It was terminated in 1935
  • Tennessee Valley Authority

    Tennessee Valley Authority
    It was created by congressional charter in 1933. Its purpose was to provide navigation, flood control, electricity generation, fertilizer manufacturing and economic developments to the Tennessee Valley. This is still around today
  • Federal Housing Administration

    Federal Housing Administration
    This administration was part of the Nation Housing Act of 1934. It set a standard for construction as well as improve housing standards and conditions. This is still around today and headed by BIniam Gebre.
  • Rural Electrification Administration

    Rural Electrification Administration
    The purpose of this administration was to provide electriicty to rural areas, such as farms, and the Tennessee Valley. It was abolished in 1994 and renamed Rural Utilities Service.
  • Social Security Administration

    Social Security Administration
    The Social Security Act was passed under teh Seond New Deal. This act provided retirees over the age of 65, and disabled families with government aids of cash to help live and support their families. This is still in order today, and it is very important.
  • United States Housing Authority

    United States Housing Authority
    This was a Federal Agencies that was created under the Housing Act of 1937 as a part of the New Deal. Its purpose was to provide living conditions for many people. It created homing units for around 650,000 people. It was abolished in 1947.
  • Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act

    Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act
    This gave the FDA the ability to overlook safety of food. This was part of the New Deal, and though it has been altered since its original signing, the act remains in order today.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act

    Fair Labor Standards Act
    This is the act that installed the 40 hour work week, minimum wage, time-and-a-half, and obolished most forms of child labor. It affected 700,000 workers and is said to be the most important part of the New Deal. This act, at its roots, is still around today.
