Arthur Hall
Arthur Hall joined into his business. Arthur Hall was good at selling shoes to policemen and other people who worked on their feet all day. -
Kidd Family
Arthur Hall sold New Balance to his son-in-law and his daughter, named Eleanor and Paul Kidd. -
Trackster
Things changed, and they started creating different kinds of shoes. The “trackster” was released. -
Jim Davis
The Company was sold again to Jim Davis. Jim Davis did not change the concept because he felt as if New Balance had a good thing going with the direction they were currently going in. -
Marketing
The first evidence of New Balance and marketing was shown as the shoe was seen during the NYC marathon and gained a great amount of publicity and the company really took off after this. -

Conflict
A huge conflict arose because in the past their shoes had been made in the United States, but to cut costs they started manufacturing shoes overseas. -
James Worthy
James Worthy signs with New Balance and three shoes were released with James Worthy’s name and number on them -
1000s
The first shoes in their main “1000” series were released. These shoes are still being made today and they are very popular. -
Major League Lacrosse
New Balance becomes a large sponsor of the Major League Lacrosse. -
Brine
New Balance acquires Brine, a lacrosse, hockey and soccer company. -

Rob Pannell
New Balance signs Rob Pannell to a deal. Rob Pannell becomes the face of the lacrosse division. -
Freeze
New Balance releases their first lacrosse cleat, the New Balance Freeze.
