Frederick is selected to go to Baltimore
Frederick is selected to go to Baltimore to live with the colonials brother in law. Though douglass is excited to go he is also sad he is leaving everything he has known through out his years -
Frederick meets his mistress
This is when Frederick meets the wife of the brother-in-law who "Has not been touched by the evils of slavery" which means she was nice and kind to him and taught him to learn. Until Hugh Alud Finds out and yells at them -
Mrs. Auld loses her niceness
During the time of the 7 years Frederick lives there he learns to read and write but no longer learns from Mrs. Auld because slavery finally got to her and made her mean and cruel -
Captain Anthony Dies
In Douglass' first few years at Baltimore Captain Anthony dies which means for Douglass that he will be sent back to the plantation to work in the fields and he knows Baltimore is the better option. -
Frederick arrives at Thomas Aulds house
Douglass arrives at his new master's home and he feeds his slaves very little. He works alongside his sister and aunt in the kitchen, but since there isn't enough food they have to steal or beg for more or else they would starve. -
