Exile to Elba
Napoleon vanishes on this day to an island called Elba in the Mediterranean Sea. Napoleon was forced to go to Elba, but he escaped and then returned to power. -
Congress of Vienna
The Congress of Vienna declared Napoleon an outlaw when he returned from Elba. The Congress of Vienna allied with Russia, United Kingdom, and Austria to send out 150,000 troops against Napoleon and his army so Napoleon would lose his power. -
Hundred Days
This is the period where France returned from the exile at Elba. This period includes the Neapolitan War. -
Battle of Waterloo
This was napoleon’s last battle that he was ever in. Napoleon tried to attack multiple armies before he got attacked, but his troops were flanked and pushed back to where he was caught. Then he was sent to Saint Helena where he later died in 1821. -
Battle of Leipzig
Was a battle between Russia, Austria, and Sweden. This was the largest battle prior to world war one that included over 600,000 troops.
