AMIGO staff team
After submitting an application and participating in an interview process, I was selected to be a member of the AMIGO Orientation team. This was my favorite organization I participated in on campus because of all of the awesome people I met. -
Fisrt Year as an RA
I was chosen to be a reisdent assistant for the McDonald Community. My first year, I only had 8 rooms of residents because I had an entire building that left mid-semester due to building construction. -
Colleges Against Cancer
I was inducted into the USI chapter of Colleges Against Cancer as the organization's secretary. I helped extensively with Relay for Life at USI. -
Greek Life Community
During my second year as an RA, my residents were all involved in Greek Life. Therefore, my perspective of Greek Life changed greatly because I met so many wonderful people. -
Homecoming Court
I was nominated from thousands of students to be a homecoming attendant. After an interview process, I was accepted on the Homecoming court for basketball season. -
Senior Resident Assistant
After a staff member left in the Residence Halls, I was hired to be a senior resident assistant to help lead the RAs of that community. Even though I had my own community in the apartments, I was working 10 hours a week in the Residence Halls as a mentor for the RAs. -
National Residence Hall Honorary
I was inducted into USI's third chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary. We provide programs for the residents living in housing to keep them engaged in the community. -
STARS College
Based on my interest in Student Affairs, I attended a conference for college students who would like to work in housing and residence life on a college campus after graduation. It was a great networking opportunity for me because I met housing professionals from around the nation. -
Student Teaching
I will be student teaching at West Terrace Elementary with Mrs. Chang. I am anxious to start this new adventure in my life because I want to sharped my skills with working with older students. -
Graduation
I will graduate from USI with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I will also have a minor in Middle School Mathematics.
