Uan's Timeline of Digital Hardware

  • Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP

    Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP
My first ever Nintendo product. I used to spend a lot of time playing Pokemon Emerald and Leaf Green on this hand-held console.
  • Nintendo Game Boy Advance

    Nintendo Game Boy Advance
I got this GBA model after my GBA SP got busted. Ironically, this model was released way before the SP models were mass-produced. Despite this, it still worked the same and can still read the game data I once had from my old GBA SP.
  • Nintendo DS Lite

    Nintendo DS Lite
I got a Nintendo DS Lite during the era the DS models were still a thing. The games I used to play on this were Mario Kart, Pokemon Diamond, New Super Mario Bros., and Brain Age. However, I stopped using it after the hinges supporting the LCD display broke.
  • Nintendo DSi

    Nintendo DSi
After my DS Lite got busted, I soon got its successor model, the Nintendo DSi, during one of my family trips in the United States sometime in the summer of 2012. When I got my DSi, the new hand-held console was still compatible with other past DS games and could still read the old data I had from my Nintendo DS Lite.
  • Nintendo Wii

    Nintendo Wii
I remember getting a Nintendo Wii in the week of my final days of 6th grade in my old school, Ateneo de Manila University. If I recall correctly, the Wii my younger brother and I got was a present from my godmother. Back then, my brother and I had a lot of fun playing with our Wii console at home during our free time. One of the popular games we enjoyed playing was Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Parties 8 and 9, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports, Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Super Mario Galaxy.
  • Alcatel One Touch

    Alcatel One Touch
My first ever smartphone. I got one model from my dad as a hand-me-down gift from him. He gave it to me because him and mom know that I really need a smartphone in case of emergency. Despite its specs, it was quite useful to me when I still had it. I was allowed to call or text my parents in times of need, watch some YouTube in my free time, and also take some pictures.
  • Nintendo 3DS XL

    Nintendo 3DS XL
My first and only 3DS XL was shipped from the United States to the Philippines after my 8th-grade graduation in my current school, the Multiple Intelligence International School. Since I got it after graduation, my 3DS was like some sort of "graduation gift" from my parents. Having that 3DS brings back a lot of memories. Almost every day, I would bring that console with me to school just to play a lot of competitive Super Smash Bros. 4 with my friends or Pokemon Ultra Sun for myself.
  • Samsung J7

    Samsung J7
The Samsung J7 was released the year after I got one. Sadly, this particular smartphone made me face a lot of technical difficulties and setbacks. Since my storage only allows 16GB worth of data storage, I couldn't even download nor update any app that I need or want on my J7. Even worse, having an almost-full storage can make your phone slow too.
  • Amiibo

    Amiibo
Nintendo's line of collectible figurines that can be digitally brought to life on your Nintendo console via wireless communication. The amiibos I currently have in my collection are Lucas and Dark Pit.
  • MyNintendo

    MyNintendo
The successor of the late online Nintendo fanclub, Club Nintendo. Unlike its predecessor, MyNintendo can either be on mobile or PC.
  • Sony PS4 Pro

    Sony PS4 Pro
My current PlayStation home console. Me and my brother got our PS4 Pro by selling our all our PS3 stuff and using the money to purchase the hardware and its games. When we got our PS4, the first games we got were Monster Hunter: World, Assassin's Creed Unity, and Fortnite. Nowadays, my brother spends a lot of time playing on the PS4 more than I do.
  • Samsung A30

    Samsung A30
The latest model of the Samsung A-series. Honestly, this Samsung smartphone was like the greatest successor of my old Samsung J7. Unlike the J7, my A30 has high 64GB worth of storage, fast 4GB RAM, plus a 1080p camera with a wide array of zooming lenses.
  • Nintendo Switch

    Nintendo Switch
This popular next-gen Nintendo console is a hybrid between hand-held and home consoles. Personally, I went through a lot of time and effort getting this popular Nintendo product. In order to earn the money I needed to buy it, I had to sell my 3DS XL along with all of its games, plus a portion of my personal savings. So far, the only games I have for my Switch are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Fortnite, and an official NES emulator.
