Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky. -
First 2 Years
Biosocial: The body grows and develops different things that were not apparent at birth.
Cognitive: The child learns how to use these new developments. For example, a child subconsciously knows how to suck on their mothers breast for food.
Psychosocial: Learning how to walk and crawl -
Early Childhood (Up to age 6)
Biosocial: You learn how to express emotions and feelings and also understand what they mean.
Cognitive: The brain continues to develop and you start preschool and kindergarten. You begin learning actual concepts.
Psychosocial: You begin to play with other children and learn how to communicate with them. -
Middle Childhood (Ages 7-11)
Biosocial: You begin to come attached to your emotions. You also experience many different emotions.
Cognitive: You experience true feelings of fear and anger.
Psychsocial: You become active and interested in activity and sports. For example, I was very active and danced 5 days of the week. -
Adolesence
Biosocial: You learn how to effectively communicate emotions and feelings
Cognitive: You develop a more hypothetical way of thinking
Psychosocial: Self esteem fluctuates, experiences begin to form who you are as an individual -
Emerging Adulthood
Biosocial:Full height and weight is reached and the body has reached complete physical maturity.
Cognitive:"The ability to see 3 sides of a 2 sided
issue" - abstract thinking stregthens
Psychosocial: The importance of a strong love life becomes very important -
Adulthood
Biosocial: Individuals try to fit into a role they are seeking, most people find their true identity in this stage.
Cognitive: People become more aware of complexities in life and think more in terms of the future.
Psychosocial: This is a time in which many people suffer from mid-life crisis' -
Epilogue (Death and Dying)
Here you can see my predicted year of death, 2086, according to the self quiz we did. I will be 91 at this point.
Biosocial: Ageism seems to occur. This is when people of an elderly age seem to associate certain behaviors with specific ages.
Cognitive: There is a significant decline in memory, spacial recognition, sensory, reasoning and compensation.
Psychosocial: Personality traits tend to remain stable, retirement, person may develop feels of losing their independence and depression.
