The Invention of the DVD Player
I remember how BIG the first DVD player was when it came out. To get rid of VHS was a big deal to many people including my parents. I was young at the time but I remember it being a big deal because they had VHS for so long. The DVD player was able to play all the same movies and shows that were on VHS but on a small CD. This made storing movies easier and took up less space. I remember waiting in line with my dad the day they were released. -
The Birth of the Nintendo 64
I remember still to this day when this game system came out. It was the first game system that I truly got to see born and saw the obsession it became. I remember going to stand in line at BestBuy waiting to get one of these the day they released them. I still have the exact same one I bought in 1996 to this day. That was one of my favorite memories. Playing this game system with my entire family and friends. -
MP3 Player took over!
Listening to music was always a big hobby of mine. I had a walkman where I had to change the CD's and it was hectic. Now they invented the MP3 player where I could download all my favorite songs and CDs onto this player. I was able to take it anywhere I wanted. I remember my parents getting mad at me because I would listen to that player all the time. It really made a change in the music industry. -
Itunes Frenzy!
When Itunes was invented I was one of the happiest people! I loved my music and I loved that I was now able to download different artists and songs without having the buy the entire CD! I was able to pick and choose the songs I wanted to buy. Itunes made the luxury of buying music from your own home. This was by far one of my favorite inventions! -
IPOD
First came Itunes then came the iPod! I bought the very first type of iPod there was. I remember it being a little big and heavy but it was awesome! I was able to upload all my music from itunes onto my iPod. This was nicer than the MP3 because the iPod had a screen and buttons so I can scroll through and choose the song I wanted to listen to. This made my music listening even better. -
The infamous invention of Facebook
I was in high school when Facebook was first invented and when it became the "thing you had to have". Originally it was developed just for college students because the younger kids had myspace. Well that didn't last very long because all my friends had Facebook. It is a great communication tool to keep in touch with long distant relatives and friends. This revolutionized the way of communication. Facebook keeps growing and I am glad I have it because I can keep in touch with so many people. -
Apple TV
The Apple TV is a great invention. I am a huge fan because I no longer have cable and pay all the crazy high cable bills. I paid once for the Apple TV and I download all the apps that I need. I have Hulu and Netflix so I can watch all my favorite shows. Apple TV has changed the way we watch our shows. No more commercials, no more waiting to get up because we don't want to miss anything. We can pause our show at any time. I love that you can airplay and stream anything from the iPad! -
iPhone Invention
Oh boy the iPhone! Yes I got the first iPhone 3G and I get all the new ones that come out. This is probably my favorite invention that has been developed thus far in my life. You can call, text, surf the internet, check email, basically go anywhere and do anything you want at the touch of a button. It can't get any better than that.
