I was born
I was born in a snowstorm in Olatha, KS -
I was baptized
At Northland Cathedral in North KC. I remember having a conversation in our old orange Hornet with my Mom as our family was going to chuch. I told her that I wanted to be baptized and we talked about what that meant. -
I was baptized in the Holy Spirit
Went to a prayer meeting for the youth group at youth leaders house in Sioux Falls, SD and was filled with the Holy Ghost/ spoke in tongues -
I attended a youth camp
I was still living in Soux Falls. I was in a rebellious age and thought I hated my Mom. At this camp, the Lord was moving and he told me that I don't hate my Mom. He said "Whatever she asks you to do, do it Unto Me" I obeyed and he healed my heart and mind. (Years later, she asked me to forgive her for mistreating me. It was EASY to forgive her!) We have been very close! -
Trip to the Boundry Waters with college group
It was a FUN and AMAZING trip! We hiked, camped, canoed across lakes, portaged canoes, and backpacked. I felt so close to God as we were basically off the grid for about a week. No distractions...we had time to just sit by a lake and read the His Word and reflect on Life and Enjoy His creation. God met me in that place. -
Went to Moscow, Russia
I thought it would be cool to go on a mission trip, so I raised money for the trip by making and selling quilts. I sold 3 quilts for $200 each...My boyfriend, Dave, was one of my buyers! It was a life changing trip! My eyes were really opened to how good we have it in the USA! Our team was one of the first to go in after the Iron Curtain was lifted. It was really neat to worship God on the street corners in downtown Moscow! The young people were so hungry for the Gospel! -
Said "Yes" to Dave
He proposed to me in a small plane that our friend was flying on our way to "hike" somewhere (The Lake of the Ozarks). He was so nervous about it that he couldn't eat at the restaurant and got sick on the way home! (This was quite a story!!!) -
Married Dave
He and my mom and a friend planned the wedding because I was going to tech school in Linn, MO. I basically showed up for our wedding and it was WONDERFUL!!! Some friends of mine who I babysat for in Linn had their 2 daughters there with them and they told their mom that they saw angels at our wedding :-) It was such a GREAT day! The Faithfullness of God was so evident on that Day! One of the songs that our friend sang was "I'll Build a Household of Faith" -
Delivered baby Jordan
Such an Amazing and Difficult thing to do! Overwhelming and Exhausting, I suffered a bit from Postpartum Depression, but Dave was amazing and God brought our relationship closer through this baby! I witnessed the Fathers Heart of God when I saw Dave care for his Son! So precious is His Love for Us! -
My little Redhead was born
Evan was such an easy baby! I was amazed at how easy it was the second time! Having both sets of Grandparents in town was a HUGE blessing! -
Miscarriage Blessing
I was so relieved when I miscarried...I almost felt guilty! I didn't really even grieve that much. (I found out I was pregnant again when Evan was about 10 months, I think.) A pastors wife gave me a prophetic word of encouragement, and that was very comforting. -
Baby Austin came Early
I had an emergency C-section and was sent home with an open wound from it. I had Austin at the University Hospital and a resident Doc came in to check on me and removed the staples from my incision the day after I had him! Really!! So, Dave and my mom had to take care of my incision after I went home. After that experience, I decided I was done having babies! Thankfully, I healed up! Having Austin was totally worth it!!! He was another Easy Baby! THREE BOYS!!! and they were all EASY!!!
