My University Soccer Career

  • Period: to

    Year 1

My rookie season consisted of 14 regular season games and two playoff competitions. I was nominated for Bisons Sports Rookie of the Year and received the Bisons Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year and Defender of the Year awards
  • Period: to

    Year 2

My second year consisted of 14 regular season games and one playoff competition. The University of Manitoba was named the host for Women's Soccer Nationals, so we earned an automatic entry into the competition. We lost our first game to Trinity Western, beat the University of Guelph, and lost to University of Victoria during the consolation final.
  • Period: to

    Year 3

My third year consisted of 14 regular season games and one playoff competition. This was also the year that I suffered my first major injury. During pre-season I suffered a really bad quad strain that would cause me to need rehab and treatment before and after every match. During the spring of 2019, our team also got to travel to Monterrey, Mexico to compete against a university team and a semi-professional team. It was a surreal experience.
  • Period: to

    Year 4

My fourth year consisted of 14 regular season games and two playoff competitions. This was the first year that I served as a co-captain with the Bisons Women's soccer team. At the end of the year, I was also awarded the team's Defender of the Year award once again.
  • Period: to

    Year 5

Also known as the "COVID Season" My fifth year had no official competitions. Since I was unsure of what my future held, I withdrew from my co-captain position upon completion of our fall duties with the team. However, I continued to train throughout the winter with the team with the hopes of returning to complete my official fifth year (pending acceptance into the Faculty of Education).
  • Period: to

    Year 6

Also known as the "True Fifth Year" My sixth year consisted of 12 regular season games. We did not qualify for playoffs this year and this was when my soccer "graduation" officially occurred. While I am sad that my university career has come to an end, I am forever grateful for the memories and experiences that I got out of my time with the Bisons Women's Soccer team.
