In 2000, I discovered Lemony Snicket's series, "A Series of Unfortunate Events". My mother would take me to Barnes and Noble every weekend, to sit and read for hours and I would finish a book a day.

Reading a certain amount of books would get me a coupon for a personal pizza from Pizza Hut... I got these a lot.

This was the year that my English teacher, Ms. Lih changed my life. She helped me to love education and helped me see a new perspective on reading. I still speak to her today.
