  • Summer Reading - SLOB

    Summer Reading - SLOB
I would rate this novel 4/5. In my novel there is the main character named Owen who is a very large person and he gets bullies about it. But his Oreo gets taken every day for some reason but he doesn't know how. at the end of the book he realizes his sister has been taking them this whole time. I liked this book because it was really specific about what it was talking about and it was easy to understand.
  • First Workshop novel - My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish

First Workshop novel - My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish
I would rate this book a 3/5. In this story Sanj and Mark made a Big Zombie Goldfish and whenever it is looked at in the eyes it hypnotizes them into a zombie. By the fish being able to do this Sanj and Mark use it to their advantage to try and hypnotize the whole school. I disliked this book because it took a long time to try to understand each page because there was so many things happening that it was misleading.
  • The Outsiders

    The Outsiders
I would rate this book 4.5/5. In this story there are two sides, the Socs and the Greasers. The Greasers are made up of the Curtis family and some of their friends and the Socs are these rivals that do bad things to people. Socs have actually killed some Greasers. I liked this book because it was based in the country which is not too hard to picture in your mind also it was easy to understand.
  • Second Workshop Novel - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck

Second Workshop Novel - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck
I would rate this book 5/5. In this book the main character's name is Greg and he get bullied at school by his classmates. Also when his best friend becomes not his best friend he has nobody to talk to. His family had an easter egg hunt and his grandma accidentally dropped her ring in the egg then eventually they find it at the end of the book. I like this book because it was a really funny book to read and it was easy to understand
  • The Maze Runner

    The Maze Runner
I would rate this book a 4/5. This book is about the protagonist named Thomas gets somehow transferred into The Glade, which is a place with the massive maze that nobody has cracked the solution to it. The maze doors open every night and then the grievers come out. Grievers are massive deadly creatures that kill the runners (People that go into the maze). I liked this book because it was a very interesting story to learn, even though the book was very long.
  • Third Workshop Novel - Code Talker

Third Workshop Novel - Code Talker
I would rate this book 3/5. This book is about an army of people called the Navajos, and it kind of like a was between other countries against the Navajos. In the beginning of the book they started off as just normal people off as normal people going to church studying about the Navajos. while the WWII marines wanted him as a "code talker" in war. I liked this book because the story goes along smoothly throughout the book.
  • The Giver

    The Giver
I would rate this book a 5/5. In the book the protagonist (Jonas) is a normal citizen in the community but then when he went to the Ceremony of Twelve he got skipped. When the Announcer announced Jonas's job he was Receiver of Memory. What the Receiver of Memory is, is he takes the memories from the last Receiver of Memory or The Giver. These memories include the past of the community. I liked this book because it was a very interesting concept also easy to follow.
  • Self Assesment

    Self Assesment
I have grown in 7th grade reading because in 6th grade I used to never be able to find a book that I would read. But this year there has been some pretty good books that we've read as a class. Such as The Outsiders and The Giver. I would want to set a goal for 8th grade reading to be, to find a series of books that I would read. Such as a book series, so a lot of sequel.
